Longwood Gardens preview
Dad and I had a lot of fun shooting macro today. We both had 100mm macro and ringflash setup (thanks Lori for letting me borrow your gear!). We shot fully manual + manual focus. I loved dealt with it, but I think it's good practice for me. Here's a teaser...

Sports Day
This is my second attempt at panning. Not tack sharp, but I couldn't talk Eugene into diving 50x until I got a great one. Good thing more sports days are around the corner...

Lines
Ok here's my contribution to Eugene's and my theme "lines." I don't have much of a story for mine - I looked up and saw rays of sunlight and grabbed a photo of them.

Reflections
I asked dad for a topic for tonight's post. This is really a literal interpretation of his topic, reflections. I know its not the right season, but this was taken during Christmas break in St. Thomas. One of the parks there had decorations all over the place and you can pretty much identify everyone in the reflection..

Peanut Butter
What goes well with peanut butter? Grapes of course. But only in the jelly/jam form. This is another photo from the Prague sunrise/market shoot. Dad and I always seem to take shots of the same thing. I saw him shooting the grapes and had to copy.

Who's there? Orange!
Orange you glad I didn't say tomato?! See, because there are a lot of tomatoes in this photo. I get it.
We did a sunrise photo shoot in Prague, and on the way back to the hotel we ran into a farmer's market. Everyone was still setting up so it was a bit easier to grab a few photos...

Iron Chef returns
Secret ingredient: horseradish.
With Aaron, Jai, and Richie as the judges...
Rick's dish prevailed (my description from what I remember):
Baked salmon with a mustard and horseradish glaze
Risotto and a hint of horseradish
Sauteed spinach, mushroom and horseradish
Bruschetta with fresh tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and horseradish

This one's for Eugene...and Neal
Apparently I have the memory of a goldfish. Eugene and I decided to post people shots last night and I forgot. SO, here's one for Eugene. And obviously Neal.

Mainspring Barrel
Nice macro shot of the mainspring barrel, escapement, and part of the whiplash index adjuster as seen on the back of a watch timepiece. Not sure what zoom it was, but the setscrew just below center is probably just less than a millimeter in diameter.
