Self portrait

The theme for Eugene and my latest photo challenge was self portrait. The rules are simple: you have to be the one to take the photo of yourself - no one else could touch the shutter release.

For this shot, I had the camera on a tripod and hooked it up to my computer via USB. Using Canon EOS Utility (a remote shooting program), I adjusted focus and aperture. Slight fill flash also controlled with the software.

Dad and I had a lot of fun shooting macro today. We both had 100mm macro and ringflash setup (thanks Lori for letting me borrow your gear!). We shot fully manual + manual focus. I loved dealt with it, but I think it's good practice for me. Here's a teaser...

Sports Day

This is my second attempt at panning. Not tack sharp, but I couldn't talk Eugene into diving 50x until I got a great one. Good thing more sports days are around the corner...
