Well, my road trip began last Monday morning. The day before, mom and dad helped me pack...it's hard to believe that everything I own can fit into 13 boxes. Once I made an inventory we headed out to wrap the car in what is essentially thick saran wrap. You should see the looks we've had while driving with this on...
So the planned trip looked something like this. 12 days total, almost 4,300 miles, visiting with Nancy and Bill and Carey, Gregg, and the kids, and the goal of seeing Badlands National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Devil's Tower (Close Encounters of the Third Kind anyone?), Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Pacific Coast Highway:
